Kyle Okposo signed a 7-year contract with the Sabres in July 2016, bringing his talent and his KO21 brand to Buffalo.

Kyle was an alternate captain and a leader both on and off the ice for the New York Islanders. In 2015, Kyle was an integral part of the Islanders team that advanced to the 2nd round of the NHL Playoffs for the first time in 23 years. Despite a late season injury, he finished the 2014 NHL season in the top 20 in scoring. In 2013, he made his Stanley Cup Playoffs debut, co-leading the team in goals during the Islanders Eastern Conference Quarterfinals series against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

He was drafted 7th overall in the 2006 NHL Draft following a stellar USHL season where he was named MVP at the conclusion of the USHL playoffs and the league's top rookie as the Des Moines Buccaneers won the Clark Cup. He has represented the United States at three World Championships (2012 - Finland and Sweden; 2010 - Germany; 2009 - Switzerland).

Kyle was born and raised in Minnesota. He launched his KO21 apparel line in 2014.
